Yoga and Naturopathy institute project delayed – Yahoo! India News

Jhajjar, Nov 29 (PTI) The much-awaited project of setting up Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy with 100-bedded hospital in the district has been further delayed due to official formalities. Though the district administration had earlier this year decided to provide 10 acres of its land to the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN), New Delhi, for establishing the institute, Director Panchayat Haryana, Chandigarh, has raised some objections in connection with the allotment of land on lease for 33 years.

In a letter sent recently to Jhajjar Deputy Commissioner, Office of Director, Panchayat Haryana, has sought clarification on whether the proposed land fall under the jurisdiction of the land allotted to set up AIIMS-II in Bhadsa village. The Director has also sought consent from the authorities concerned regarding suitability and sufficiency of the land and resolution of allotment of the land to the CCRYN with confirmation by competent officer.

Distressed over the delay, Dr B T Chidananda Murthy, director of the CCRYN, had requested Jhajjar DC to pay heed to the matter and get the nod obtained without delay. “The case has been sent back to Chandigarh after clarifying all objections raised by the office of Director, Panchayat Haryana, and the authority will hopefully accord its nod soon,” Nitin Yadav, Jhajjar DC, said.

The CCRYN, an autonomous body under the Department of AYUSH, Union Ministry of Health, had proposed the district administration to establish the institute in December 2006. PTI COR VJ GS.
